  • Aggranite, whose marble tone products look nearly indistinguishable from the real thing at a glance
  • Corian Quartz, whose London collection includes three distinctive yet endlessly adaptable styles: marble-like London Abbey, understated London Sky, and rich, majestic London Royal
  • Vicostone, whose Exotic collection features Limnias: Japanese Blue Veins delicately feathered across a solid white marblesque background to create a classic yet timeless look
  • HanStone, whose Swan Cotton artistically combines soft gray and cool taupe – a serene and comforting aesthetic suitable for any bathroom space
  • Valiant Surfaces, whose Zanzibar showcases soft gold branches and thin pencil veins against a soft white background – ideal for all the nature-themed kitchens and bathrooms that are so popular in Wisconsin and Minnesota
  • TAB Surfaces, whose Statuario Savon displays a satiny black surface with creamy white rivulets that would enhance any living space’s allure and mystique
  • Wilsonart, whose Calacatta collection features products that look just like they could have been quarried in the mountains of Northern Italy
  • Diresco, whose engineered stone worktops feature BIO-UV technology that protects against degradation resulting from prolonged exposure to sunlight

That’s only a thin sliver of what our partnered brands can offer. Narrowing in on the exact countertop style you want is easy: just let your Gallery 77 rep know what you have in mind, and prepare to browse through a still staggering number of options.

Silestone Quartz: The Crème de la Crème

We don’t partner with a quartz countertop manufacturer unless their products are certain to create jaw-dropping value at our clients’ homes and businesses. That said, we’re proudest to offer Silestone countertops by Cosentino.

Why is Silestone the crème de la crème in quartz countertops?

  • No other surface offers greater resistance to scratching. Even artisans who work with bladed tools count on Silestone to withstand gouging and scraping.
  • No other surface offers greater resistance to staining. Red wine, coffee, tomato sauce, curry, and even highly acidic balsamic vinegar don’t stand a chance of discoloring Silestone (though we always advise wiping up spills as quickly as possible).
  • No other surface offers greater resistance to impact. Even the best chef is known to drop a roast or miss a swing with a meat mallet from time to time. And if you’re a parent, you’re already aware that children are perpetually inventing new ways to test the durability of countertops. That’s why a rugged, impact-resistant Silestone surface will give you true peace of mind.
  • No other surface offers easier maintenance. Soap. Water. Done.
  • No other surface comes with a better warranty. Thanks to Silestone’s certified 25-year warranty, there’s no need to worry about a manufacturing defect manifesting itself decades down the road.

All of that plus an expansive range of colors and patterns – as well as the option to customize your new kitchen or bathroom surface with one of many different styles of distinctive edges – make Silestone our most highly recommended countertop.

Why Is Quartz so Popular for Kitchens and Bathrooms?

When we talk about quartz, we’re technically talking about engineered quartz. Quartz is a natural mineral made of two elements: silicon, and oxygen. Engineered quartz is made of about 90% ground up quartz crystals, with the rest being resin that binds the crystals together and pigments that give the product color.

Engineered quartz is very hard: 7 on the Mohs scale, which makes it harder than several types of natural stone including travertine (4-5), limestone (3-5), slate (2.5-4), and sometimes even granite (6-8). It’s difficult to scratch or chip engineered quartz, which is why it can last as a countertop for decades.

Superior durability is only the start. Engineered quartz is resistant to burning (although the resin it contains can get damaged by temperatures exceeding 150 °F). Its nonporous surface protects against staining, prevents nasty bacterial growth, and eliminates the need for resealing. If you want an easy-to-clean kitchen or bathroom, engineered quartz is where it’s at.

The list of engineered quartz’s benefits just keeps going. It’s less expensive than several types of natural stone, which makes it ideal for remodeling on a limited budget. And because the man-made material can have literally any pattern or color, it will bring any aesthetic vision for a hard surface to life. Many interior designers prefer engineered quartz’s uniform patterns over natural stone’s unpredictable ones!
