At Gallery 77, we understand that selecting the perfect natural stone or engineered quartz is only half the journey. The most beautiful slab can be undermined by a poor installation. This crucial final step transforms a raw piece of stone into the stunning, durable centerpiece of your home.

That’s why our installation services are not an afterthought—they are a core pillar of our business. We are committed to a flawless, professional, and respectful process that ensures your new countertops are installed with the same level of precision with which they were fabricated.

The Gallery 77 Installation Difference: Precision & Professionalism

Unlike businesses that rely on outside subcontractors, Gallery 77 uses our own team of full-time, highly trained installation professionals. This allows us to control the quality of our work from start to finish and ensures the team arriving at your home is accountable, insured, and committed to our high standards.

An Expert Insight from Gallery 77: “A countertop installation is a heavy-lifting construction project that requires the finesse of an artist. Our installers are craftsmen who specialize in stone. They understand how to handle the weight, how to make a seam virtually disappear, and how to protect a client’s home. The final 1% of the job is what you see every day, and we make sure it’s perfect.”

Our Meticulous Installation Process: Step-by-Step

A perfect finish is the result of a precise, proven process. Here is what you can expect on your installation day.

Step 1: Home Protection & Site Preparation Your home is our priority. Before any work begins, our team lays down protective floor coverings and sets up dust mitigation measures as needed. We conduct a final walk-through with you to confirm the plan and protect all adjacent cabinets, appliances, and walls.

Step 2: Old Countertop Removal (If Applicable) If your project includes the removal of old laminate, tile, or stone countertops, our team will do so carefully and efficiently. We manage the heavy lifting and disposal, leaving a clean, prepared surface for your new stone.

Step 3: Cabinet & Substrate Leveling This is one of the most critical and overlooked steps. Natural stone and quartz are incredibly rigid, but they are not flexible. To prevent cracking or stress fractures down the line, the cabinets must be perfectly level. Our team inspects and shims the cabinetry as needed to create a perfectly flat and stable foundation.

Step 4: Setting the Stone & Seam Placement Our crew carefully transports your new countertops into your home. We use our precise digital measurements from the fabrication phase to ensure a perfect fit. Seams are inevitable in large or complex kitchens, and our expertise lies in placing them in the most discreet locations possible and joining them with industry-leading precision.

Step 5: On-Site Scribing, Cutouts & Drilling While most cuts are done at our facility, some items are best handled on-site. We scribe the stone to fit perfectly against any uneven walls and precisely drill the holes for your faucets and plumbing fixtures, ensuring a custom fit.

Step 6: Creating Near-Invisible Seams This is where craftsmanship shines. Our installers use a high-strength, color-matched epoxy to join the seams. The pieces are mechanically pulled together to create the tightest possible joint, and the cured epoxy is then shaved and polished until it is smooth to the touch, making the seam as inconspicuous as possible.

Step 7: Final Securing & Clean-Up Your countertops are secured in place with a durable, 100% silicone adhesive. We apply a clean bead of silicone to any areas where the stone meets the wall or backsplash. Finally, we clean and wipe down your new countertops, remove all our tools and protective coverings, and walk you through the finished project, answering any questions you may have.
